ABOUT THE OASIS PODCAST
The Oasis with A. Haqq Islam is a weekly podcast hosted by music industry veteran A. Haqq Islam, featuring intimate and refreshing conversations on the impact of Islam in music, sports, fashion, film, politics, technology, Hip Hop culture and more. This podcast seeks to challenge the stereotypical views of Muslims domestically and internationally while introducing the world to Muslims and followers of Islam who are impacting the culture and breaking barriers. Our goal is to also inspire Muslim youth to dream beyond the amazing accomplishments of our guests.
Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. With more than 2 billion followers worldwide, a medium age of 23 and an average of 3 children per family, this number is projected to increase to 3 billion followers by 2060. This podcast seeks to aide in giving this community a voice.
This podcast is necessary because Muslims, and practitioners of Islam, have had, and continue to have, a significant impact on national and world economies, politics and culture. Moreover, Islam is the youngest and fastest growing religion on earth. With over 2 billion followers and a median age of 23, it is important for this group of creatives and intellects to have a space to share and showcase the diversity within their religion and the various cultures.
